Book 3: Mastering Xcode and Swift / Re: Core Data Concurrency
« Last post by kjmcneish on February 16, 2017, 01:11:48 AM »
Seyed,

You’re right that mmBusinessObject was meant to run on a single thread...it's a rare application that needs concurrency on Core Data. I recommend checking out this resource for other ideas:

All the best!

Book 3: Mastering Xcode and Swift / Core Data Concurrency

@kjmcneish
Hi Mr McNeish
I'm practicing on using Concurrency on core data.
But I wonder how can I use mmBusinessObject library for this, I guess you write this library to use just in the main thread‬ not Concurrency.
So How Can I convert it to supports Concurrency and using Operation ?

Hi dhoppes,

I just downloaded the code and ran the project again.  I didn't find any errors.  Are you using the most recent code that was posted at this link: http://iosappsfornonprogrammers.com/forum/index.php?topic=1932.msg2957?

Angelina, you indicated in your post last month that you would be releasing the code in a few days.  I downloaded the code and the mmBusinessObject file has 21 errors.  I haven't attempted to work my way through them, hoping that you could send me the updated mmBusinessObject file.

Swift 3 Code / Re: mmBusinessObject for Swift 3
« Last post by lennyeiger on October 08, 2016, 06:06:52 PM »
Kevin, thanks for this.

I'm still getting an error in the MMDynamicTypeExtensions.swift, line 139,

for (element) in registeredElements {
                let control = element as! UIView

Xcode is complaining that:  Type NSMapTable<AnyObject, AnyObject> does not conform to protocol 'Sequence'

I don't believe I am even using this... but it was part of the original MM series...

Swift 3 Code / mmBusinessObject for Swift 3
« Last post by kjmcneish on October 08, 2016, 04:32:25 AM »
If you have been using mmBusinessObject and its associated classes in your own custom projects, here's an update of these files for Swift 3. To use these files, just replace the old version in your project with these updated versions (you only need to replace files with the same name).

All the Best!

Hi Lenny,

We will be releasing the code in the next few days, before the book is released, and we’ll be posting a link on the forum.  In the meantime, if you need help with your code I can take a look at it.
