Here are the main steps you need to follow to create a static table view that fills up just a portion of a scene.

1. Drag a view controller onto your storyboard. This is the view that will contain the partial static table view.
Drag a table view controller onto your storyboard.



2. Drag a Container view to the first view controller you added. This container will contain your table view, so resize it to suit your needs.



3. When you drag a Container view onto your storyboard, it automatically adds an associated segue and view. Delete both the segue and the view.

4. Control+Click on your Container, drag over to your table view controller and then release the mouse and Control key.



5. In the popup, select Embed. This resizes the table view controller:



Now you can add other UI controls to the scene!
